KNOXVILLE — The man found shot to death Friday night behind the Walter P. Taylor Homes recreation center in East Knoxville has been identified as 55-year-old Lawrence Gray, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
The investigation into the Knoxville man’s killing is ongoing, according to department spokesman Darrell DeBusk. Gray had been shot more than once, according to DeBusk.
The incident was reported at 7:40 p.m. Friday at 317 McConnell St., according to Knox County E-911 records.
Knoxville police responded to a call reporting gunshots. While they were searching the area, they found Gray’s body.
